Moving Company is a San Francisco-based record label putting out some of today’s foremost electronic music. They needed a brand identity that captured the spirit of the label and the experience of their releases: Music constantly in flux, evolving, and finding its way into new territories.
We teamed up to build them a look and feel that invoked movement—as well as the stark, pragmatic iconography of their namesake moving and packing industry—in a fresh and signature way.
In the age of streaming, it was a fun challenge to consider our interactions with music outside the appscape. We were creating a bespoke, multisensory experience in this brand that would no doubt imprint on how people heard Moving Company’s tracks.
We expressed foundational elements of electronic music through movement, repetition, color blocking, angular shapes, and iconic moving and packing symbolism to capture what’s at the heart of this label: Tunes that reminds you how easy it is to pick everything up and just move along to life’s rhythm.
